The Event

The SABIS^® Global Sports Tournament (GST), formerly known as the SABIS^® Regional Tournament, is a sports tournament that allows students across the SABIS^® Network to showcase their athletic talent, team spirit, and true sportsmanship by competing in a series of sports challenges. Participating students have enthusiastically competed in 28 different categories in four sports: basketball, football, track & field, and swimming.

Hosting & Participating Schools

The 14^th SABIS^® Global Sports Tournament (GST) will be jointly hosted by two schools: SABIS^® International School – Yas Island and SABIS^® International School – Al Bateen. This edition will include a larger number of participating schools from around the network.

Dates

Competitions will take place on April 25, 26, and 27, 2025. The tournament will be held over three full days. Participating students and teams are expected to arrive in the U.A.E. on April 23 and depart on April 28.

Sports and Disciplines

The tournament will include 4 sports disciplines, namely: Basketball, Football, Swimming, and Track & Field. Participating schools are expected to take part in all the sports disciplines and categories (gender and age group) as detailed in the table below, provided that the school caters to that age group and gender:
